Props, Jessie-style

You know those people in your life that are beautiful, fit and successful? And you’d love to hate them except you can’t because they’re just so damn awesome? Every single one of my sisters-in-law fall in to that category (seriously) of awesomeness, but today I want to draw specific attention and props to Jessica Chetlin Jones, running the Pittsburgh Marathon on May 2, 2010.

Jessie is a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. As part of this Team, she’s raising funds to help the LLS fight blood cancers, including leukemia and lymphoma. She’s super close to her fundraising goal, but could use a little help to hit it before the race. Interested in throwing in a buck or two? Visit her page here. Looking for a way to help out all runners on May 2? My friend ThePGHA is getting a group of volunteers together to man Water Stop 7.5 in front of the casino. Contact her directly if you’d like to lend a hand. The sooner the better.

My current fitness goal is to be able to run a 5K with Jessie by the fall. Turns out those awesome people are pretty useful to have around, eh? ;)

  1. I’m trying to reach my own fundraising goal, but I’m impressed she’s doing the whole marathon. I will never, ever do that.
